Introducation:
Sapa is located in a beautiful mountain area in the North West of Vietnam, about 350 km from Ha Noi where you can find many different cultures of the minorities of H’Mong, Red Dzao, Dzay, Tay, Xa Pho, as well the most beautiful landscape of Hoang Lien Son range, Muong Hoa Valley and Paddy Rice Fields. The Climate is cool the whole year even in summer which makes Sapa one of the best destinations to visit in the world.

Ta Van located far from Sapa less than 10 kilometers, Ta Van – a village of Lao Cai province is lying peacefully in the valley of Muong Hoa. The road leads to Ta Van village that is small and narrow. Along two sides has a fertile terraced field which adorns by the green of corn and rice. When visitors come to Ta Van village, they will not be amazed at the simple beauty of the houses in the village. Previously, Ta Van based on the customs and characteristic of the Giay in Lao Cai. They live together at the bottom, mountains, the valleys, along streams.
Ta Van Family Homestay is located 12 km from Sapa in Tavan Village. Set on the side of a hill 500 meters off the main track and right amongst the rice terraces, the home enjoys expansive views of the valley and river below.

Getting Here
Only 11km outside of Sapa City, Tavan Village can be easily reached by taxi or motorbike (20 minutes). The more adventurous can even reach our village on foot (6 hours). A taxi should cost around 250,000 VND and a motorbike around 90,000 VND. We are happy to help arrange your transport from Sapa and depending on availability and group size we may be able to provide motorbike transport.
If you are travelling from Hanoi, you can reach Sapa by bus or train, which run multiple times per day. Please feel free to contact us with any questions on getting here and away.

Ta Van Family Homestay is comprised of the entire first floor of the home, set up with 6 double rooms and 3 triple room, 1 big dorm room accommodating up to 16 people in a traditional wooden house.
